Intelligence Community Targetted By Virus
The US intelligence community is baffled by a seemingly unknown virus that has been plaguing their computer networks is what is known to be one of the most secure networks the world over. The US government is considered to be one of the most secure users of computers with robust counter-measures used to prevent hackers, viruses and other malware form getting in and doing harm.
The virus infection is limited to their unclassified network but posed a grave threat to more secure parts of the network so a virus is a virus. The US government has spent billions and even trillions in computer security the years after 9-11, but not network is truly safe from the many evolving malware that are out there connected to the internet. The virus is quite unknown and the mechanisms are yet to be determined, CERT of the US which detects, analyzes and issues warnings to the public and government agencies has not yet come out with a response to the infection which is still lurking in now localized networks within the FBI and US Marshal’s offices.
